Glamis Castle, near Edinburgh, Scotland

A royal residence since 1372, the castle is thought to be haunted. Tour Duncan Hall, made famous in Shakespeare's Macbeth, view the medieval royal rooms, and look out for the legendary ghosts.

Glasgow Cathedral

The only cathedral in Scotland to have survived the Reformation intact, this 12th-century medieval church houses one of the finest post-war collections of stained glass windows in Britain.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Edinburgh

Welcome to Scotland! Arrive in Edinburgh and meet your Travel Director before enjoying a welcome dinner with your fellow travellers. Select departures also include the spectacular Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Day 2: Discover Edinburgh

Explore Scotland's capital with a Local Expert, visiting Edinburgh Castle to see the Scottish Crown Jewels and Mons Meg. See the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Princes Street, the Scott Monument, and the Royal Mile before enjoying free time to explore.

Day 3: Edinburgh – St. Andrews – Inverness

Travel across the Firth of Forth to the historic town of St. Andrews, home of the famous Old Course and Scotland's oldest university. Continue into the Highlands, stopping for traditional afternoon tea at Atholl Palace before arriving in Inverness.

Day 4: Inverness – Loch Ness – Culloden – Thurso

Drive along the legendary shores of Loch Ness and visit the Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre to learn about the pivotal 1746 battle. Continue north to Wick, where you can choose between a whisky tasting at Old Pulteney Distillery or a visit to the Wick Heritage Museum, before arriving in Thurso.

Day 5: Orkney Islands Excursion

Take a ferry to the Orkney Islands for a full-day exploration. Visit the Italian Chapel, the Viking town of Kirkwall, the prehistoric village of Skara Brae, and the ancient Ring of Brodgar before returning to Thurso.

Day 6: Thurso – Isle of Skye

Journey along Scotland's dramatic northern coastline, passing rugged beaches, lochs, and glens before crossing to the breathtaking Isle of Skye. Admire the striking Cuillin Hills and enjoy the island's spectacular scenery.

Day 7: Isle of Skye – Eilean Donan Castle – Glencoe

Enjoy free time on Skye before crossing back to the mainland. Stop for photos at iconic Eilean Donan Castle and the Commando Memorial overlooking Ben Nevis. Continue to Glencoe for a ranger-led conservation experience and a farewell dinner featuring fresh Highland cuisine.

Day 8: Glencoe – Loch Lomond – Glasgow

Travel through the Highlands to beautiful Loch Lomond, where you'll have time to enjoy the peaceful scenery. Continue to Glasgow for an orientation tour featuring George Square and St. Mungo's Cathedral, with free time to explore the city.

Day 9: Depart Glasgow

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, bringing your unforgettable Scottish adventure to a close.
