Creek Street, Ketchikan
Ketchikan is known as Alaska's "First City" because it's the first major community travelers come to as they journey north. Located on an island, Ketchikan began life as an Indian fishing camp. The name Ketchikan comes from a Tlingit phrase that means "eagle with spread-out wings," a reference to a waterfall near town.

Hubbard Glacier
The Hubbard Glacier is famous for being North America’s largest tidewater glacier. It’s over 120 kilometres long (75 miles), 11 km wide (7 miles) and flows directly into Disenchantment Bay, which feeds into the North Pacific Ocean. The Hubbard Glacier height is said to be 600 feet at its terminal face (350 feet exposed above the waterline and 250 feet below the waterline. For perspective, this is the same height as the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. It’s HUGE!

Begin your day with an early arrival at Tokyo Port at 7:00 a.m. After breakfast, you will disembark and leave your luggage in a dedicated luggage car — no need to worry about carrying it throughout the day. (Please note: Your luggage will be delivered to your hotel around 6:00 p.m.)
From there, we depart for Tokyo Station and board the high-speed Shinkansen (reserved seats, ticket included) for a scenic and comfortable journey to Kyoto. Upon arrival in Kyoto, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before heading out to explore some of the city’s most iconic landmarks: Fushimi Inari Taisha and Yasaka Shrine & Gion District.
In the evening, celebrate your journey with a special dinner featuring traditional Japanese Kaiseki cuisine, accompanied by an authentic Maiko (apprentice geisha) performance — a cultural experience to remember.

After breakfast, depart at 9:00 a.m from the hotel and begin your morning at the stunning Kiyomizu-dera Temple (entry ticket included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its panoramic views and iconic wooden stage.
Afterward, enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant, sampling Kyoto’s regional flavors. The afternoon continues with visits to two of Kyoto’s most iconic sites: Kinkaku-ji, The Golden Pavilion (Entry ticket included) and Arashiyama district where you can stroll through the enchanting bamboo grove, explore charming shops, or simply relax by the Katsura River.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, take advantage of our luggage delivery service for a smooth and comfortable day of travel. Please leave your luggage at the hotel reception by 7:00 a.m. — it will be delivered to your hotel in Ōsaka (Day 5). Note: Please bring only a small overnight bag with you to Hiroshima.
At 7:00 a.m., depart from the hotel and transfer to Kyoto Station, where you’ll board the Shinkansen (reserved seat, ticket included) for a scenic high-speed ride to Hiroshima. Upon arrival at Hiroshima Station, board a tour bus for a day of reflection and cultural discovery: Hiroshima Castle (enjoy looking at the scenery from the bus), Atomic Bomb Dome & Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park (entry included), Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum (entry included).
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Miyajimaguchi Pier, where you’ll take a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island (round-trip ferry ticket included). On Miyajima, explore the island’s spiritual and architectural wonders of Itsukushima Shrine, the Great Torii Gate, Goju-no-to Pagoda, and Toyokuni Shrine (entry included) Afterward, enjoy free time to stroll along Omotesando Shopping Street, known for traditional souvenirs and tasty local snacks.
The day concludes with your return ferry and transfer to your hotel, arriving by 5:40 p.m. for a well-earned evening of rest.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before immersing yourself in Ōsaka’s lively atmosphere: take a short stroll around the iconic Tsūtenkaku Tower area and visit the serene Shitennō-ji Temple (entry included), one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples with over 1,400 years of history. You will step back in time at the Ōsaka Museum of Housing and Living (entry included). Return to your hotel around 5:30 p.m., where your luggage — previously sent from Kyoto — will be waiting for you.
