Turtle Tower

To bury the father of Nguyen Ngoc Kim, a middleman between Vietnam and France during the French colonial era, Turtle Tower Hoan Kiem Lake was constructed in 1886. The tower was renamed Turtle Tower in honour of the hero Le Loi after the Vietnamese army vanquished the French colonialists.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Hanoi

Arrive in Vietnam's vibrant capital and settle in before meeting your fellow travellers. Discover the energy of Hanoi as you begin your unforgettable journey through Vietnam.

Day 2 – Hanoi

Explore Hanoi from the back of a motorbike with local female guides. Visit iconic landmarks including Ba Dinh Square, One Pillar Pagoda, Huu Tiep Lake, and Tran Quoc Pagoda before enjoying a traditional bowl of pho.

Day 3 – Ha Long Bay

Cruise through the breathtaking limestone karsts of Ha Long Bay aboard a traditional junk boat. Kayak through ancient caves and spend the night surrounded by one of Vietnam's most spectacular landscapes.

Day 4 – Pu Luong

Journey to the lush valleys of Pu Luong, where emerald rice terraces and traditional villages create a stunning backdrop for an afternoon trek through rural Vietnam.

Day 5 – Pu Luong

Trek through picturesque rice paddies and local villages before enjoying a riverside BBQ picnic lunch prepared by local chefs in the peaceful countryside.

Day 6 – Hoi An

Travel to the charming riverside town of Hoi An and take part in a hands-on cooking class, learning to prepare a delicious three-course Vietnamese meal.

Day 7 – Hoi An

Join a guided walking tour through Hoi An's UNESCO-listed Old Town, visiting historic landmarks, bustling markets, and sampling the town's famous banh mi.

Day 8 – Hoi An

Enjoy a full day to choose your own adventure. Paddle through peaceful waterways on a kayaking excursion or discover the ancient temples and fascinating history of My Son Sanctuary.

Day 9 – Ho Chi Minh City

Arrive in Vietnam's largest city and explore its lively streets aboard a traditional cyclo before finishing the day with a relaxing sunset cruise.

Day 10 – Ho Chi Minh City

Cycle through the countryside to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels and learn about the remarkable history and resilience of the Vietnamese people during wartime.

Day 11 – Ho Chi Minh City
