Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Whitehorse

Whitehorse, Yukon

Arrive in Whitehorse and meet your Anderson Vacations Tour Leader. Enjoy a tour briefing and your first group dinner.

Meal: Dinner

Day 2 – Whitehorse Touring

Whitehorse, Yukon

Explore Whitehorse on a walking tour featuring the Yukon Visitor Centre, SS Klondike, Old Log Church Museum, the world's longest wooden fish ladder and Miles Canyon. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 3 – Whitehorse & Kluane National Park

Whitehorse • Champagne • Kluane National Park

Visit the Kwanlin Dün Indigenous Cultural Centre before travelling to Champagne and the Long Ago Peoples Place. Learn about Southern Tutchone culture and visit Kluane National Park, with a stop at Sheep Mountain for the chance to spot Dall sheep.

Day 4 – Whitehorse to Dawson City

Whitehorse • Dawson City, Yukon

Visit the MacBride Museum before flying to Dawson City. Explore the historic Gold Rush community, tour the city and goldfields, visit Dredge No. 4, and take in panoramic views from Midnight Dome.

Day 5 – Dempster Highway & Tombstone Territorial Park

Dawson City • Dempster Highway • Tombstone Territorial Park

Experience the spectacular Dempster Highway with frequent scenic stops. Visit the Tombstone Interpretive Centre and enjoy the option of a one-hour guided hike along the North Klondike River before returning to Dawson City.

Day 6 – Dawson City to Inuvik

Dawson City • Inuvik, Northwest Territories

Enjoy a free morning in Dawson City before taking a late-afternoon flight over the remote subarctic tundra to Inuvik, the gateway to Canada's Western Arctic.

Day 7 – Inuvik & Tuktoyaktuk

Inuvik • Tuktoyaktuk • Arctic Ocean

Travel along the Mackenzie Valley Highway to Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean. With a local Inuit guide, learn about the community's history and way of life, see traditional landmarks and a pingo, and experience the shores of the Beaufort Sea.

Day 8 – Mackenzie Delta & Whitehorse

Inuvik • Mackenzie River Delta • Whitehorse

Take a 4-to-5-hour boat tour through the Mackenzie River Delta with an Indigenous guide, learning about traditional fishing, hunting and trapping. Enjoy a traditional lunch before exploring Inuvik and flying back to Whitehorse.

Day 9 – Depart Whitehorse

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Whitehorse Airport for your onward journey.
