Acropolis

These magnificent ruins are an iconic temple complex built on Athen’s rocky hilltop in 5th century B.C. The Acropolis is visible from most parts of the city and acts as a hub in which Athens revolves around. A brilliant sight day or night, take it in from your hotel balcony or opt for a closeup view with a tour up to the top.

Stavros Niarchos Park

If you need a breath of fresh air from the bustling energy of Athens, consider a trip to Stavros Niarchos Park, and enjoy the vast seaside green space outside of the city center. Designed with paths surrounded by Mediterranean plants and a cultural center on site, take a stroll or opt to rent a bike to explore the large park.

Oia

A small village set on a cliff known worldwide for its picturesque, whitewashed buildings and blue-domed churches.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Athens, Greece

Welcome to Athens

Arrive in Athens and join your welcome meeting at 6:00 pm. Enjoy free time to explore the city, with highlights including the Acropolis, Syntagma Square, the National Gardens and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.

Day 2 – Syros

Travel by metro to Piraeus before taking a scenic ferry to Syros. Explore Ermoupolis, the island's main town, with its neoclassical architecture and charming streets. Visit a traditional loukoumi workshop and enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant.

Travel Time: Approximately 4 hours

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 3 – Syros

Explore the fortress-like town of Ano Syros on a guided walk, taking in views over the Aegean Sea. Enjoy free time to discover Syros, visit archaeological sites or relax on one of the island's beautiful beaches. This evening, enjoy an included dinner at a remote village while watching the sunset.

Day 4 – Mykonos

Take a ferry to Mykonos and explore its maze-like Old Town with your leader. Discover whitewashed houses, charming churches, boutiques and beaches before enjoying the afternoon at leisure. Spend the evening experiencing Mykonos' famous nightlife or enjoy a traditional meal.

Travel Time: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes

Day 5 – Delos & Mykonos

Take a half-day trip to the ancient island of Delos, one of the most important archaeological and mythological sites in the Greek Islands. Explore the archaeological site and learn about its significance as the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. Return to Mykonos for free time to enjoy the beaches, museums, shops or local restaurants.

Day 6 – Santorini

Travel by ferry to spectacular Santorini. Discover the island's volcanic landscapes, whitewashed villages and famous caldera. Explore at your leisure, with optional opportunities to visit Ancient Thira, Akrotiri, volcanic beaches, museums and local wineries.

Travel Time: Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes

Day 7 – Santorini

Experience one of Santorini's highlights with a guided hike along the caldera rim from Thira to Oia. Enjoy spectacular views of the volcanic landscape and Aegean Sea. Alternatively, take the bus to Oia. Spend your final evening enjoying the island's cafés, restaurants and famous sunset.

Day 8 – Santorini

Your Greek Islands adventure comes to an end. There are no activities planned, so you are free to depart at any time. Consider extending your stay to explore more of Santorini.
