LOCAL EATS & LEGENDARY STREETS Dine at a family-owned deli for a deliciously classic Montreal lunch and indulge in the favorite traditions of smoked beef (cured and smoked beef brisket) sandwiches – popular here since Eastern European immigrants brought their unique curing techniques to Montreal in the late 1800s. Explore the cultural capital of Canada where the traditional Québécois style is celebrated along its cobblestone streets and grand buildings in European flair.

DAY 4: QUÉBEC CITY

Sugar Shack for a traditional sugar shack lunch including live musical entertainment. Continue to Montmorency Falls Park for stunning views of a natural waterfall, the tallest in Québec and 30 m taller than Niagara Falls (weather permitting). The afternoon is free to explore the holiday markets for Christmas cheer and European-style outdoor market shopping.
LOCAL TASTES Collecting maple water to create maple syrup is a longtime tradition across generations when families trudged through the snow to tap the nearby trees in preparation for rich and hearty recipes. Learn the art of making maple syrup and enjoy local music and lunch at a Sugar Shack!
DAY 5: QUÉBEC CITY
Explore Canada’s only walled city with a Local Guide this morning on a sightseeing tour. Until the British victory of 1759, Old Québec was the center of New France. Within its walls are Place d’Armes, Laval Seminary, and ancient Place Royale. Also, ride the funicular and see the old-world houses crowding the narrow streets in Lower Town by the St. Lawrence River and historic Plains of Abraham. Join your Tour Director and discover unique treasures and German-inspired cuisine at The Marché de Noël Allemand de Québec (German Christmas Market) filled with wooden kiosks and live musical entertainment, Enjoy free time this afternoon before a farewell dinner at our hotel, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, the perfect ending to your vacation!
