Cerro San Cristobal
Cerro San Cristobal or San Cristobal Hill is the largest green space within the city, however still quite urban. The peak of Cerro San Cristobal can be reached by foot (about a 45-minute hike up) by car or by the funicular of Santiago, once you've reached the peak you will not only find amazing views of the city but also the 14M tall statue of the Virgin Mary at the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception. At the base of the hill, you’ll find the Chilean National Zoo, a Japanese-style garden, and two municipal swimming pools.

The historic neighborhood of San Telmo
Pop-up art galleries, late-night bars and street murals lend old San Telmo a bohemian vibe. Lined with antiques dealers and raucous steakhouses, Defensa street cuts through Plaza Dorrego, where a flea market and street performers attract tourists every Sunday. In Parque Lezama, paths wind around tall jacaranda trees and the Italianate Museo Histórico Nacional. Upscale tango dinner-show venues dot the neighborhood.
