Banff

In the Canadian province of Alberta, the resort community of Banff is situated inside Banff National Park. Its skyline is dominated by the Rocky Mountain peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade. Boutiques and restaurants coexist with château-style hotels and gift shops on Banff Avenue, the major avenue. Elk and grizzly bears live in the 6,500 square kilometre parks surrounding the area.

Jasper

The business hub of Jasper National Park is the alpine town of Jasper in the Canadian province of Alberta. The park contains glacier-fed lakes, woods, and rivers nestled within the Canadian Rockies' snow-capped peaks. Whistlers Mountain's summit is reached by the Jasper SkyTram, offering views of the city. The Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives has displays about the park's early discovery, the railroad, and the fur trade.

Day 1 – Calgary

Arrive in Calgary at any time.

Day 2 – Calgary to Banff

Drive west toward the spectacular Rocky Mountains and continue to Banff. Explore this historic resort town on a guided walk with an expert from the Whyte Museum, learning about the history and culture of the Canadian Rockies and the role of the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Day 3 – Banff to Lake Louise

Continue to magnificent Lake Louise and take in its legendary emerald-blue waters and views of Victoria Glacier. Enjoy free time to explore, or opt for a hike to the historic Lake Agnes Tea House.

Day 4 – Lake Louise to Jasper National Park

Travel along the spectacular Icefields Parkway through forests, mountains, turquoise lakes and glaciers. Stop at Bow Lake for photo opportunities and wildlife viewing before visiting the Columbia Icefield and stepping onto the lower Athabasca Glacier with an expert guide. Continue to Jasper National Park.

Day 5 – Jasper National Park

Enjoy a free day to experience Jasper and choose from a variety of optional activities, including hiking Maligne Canyon, cruising Maligne Lake, biking or canoeing. Later, relax in the Miette Hot Springs while taking in panoramic views of the Fiddle River Valley.

Day 6 – Jasper National Park to Blue River

Follow the historic route of fur traders on a scenic float trip down the Athabasca River, with opportunities to spot wildlife. Stop at Mount Robson Visitor Centre to admire the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains before crossing the Rockies and arriving in Blue River.

Day 7 – Blue River to Whistler

Travel through the Caribou Mountains along a route once used by gold prospectors. Enjoy scenic stops at Kamloops Lake and turquoise Seton Lake before continuing to Whistler, co-host of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Day 8 – Whistler

Spend the day exploring Whistler and the surrounding parks at your own pace. Stroll through the village, ride the gondola for panoramic mountain views, hike local trails or opt for an exciting whitewater rafting adventure.

Day 9 – Whistler to Victoria

Visit the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre for a G for Good experience celebrating First Nations customs, art and music. Join an Indigenous guide for a forest walk and traditional tea ceremony. Continue along the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway, take the ferry to Vancouver Island, and travel from Nanaimo to Victoria for an orientation walk.

Day 10 – Victoria

Enjoy a free day to discover charming Victoria. Explore the waterfront or choose from optional activities such as visiting Butchart Gardens, exploring the Royal British Columbia Museum, enjoying high tea or taking a Zodiac wildlife cruise.

Day 11 – Victoria to Vancouver

Board the scenic ferry to Vancouver. Explore Stanley Park, with its gardens, beaches, woodlands and extensive trails, before visiting historic Gastown and its cobblestone streets, Victorian buildings, restaurants, galleries and boutiques.

Day 12 – Vancouver

Depart Vancouver at any time.
