Stroll along the Malecon
The city's popular boardwalk by the beach is lined with shops, restaurants and artists selling their wares. Begin your stroll at the Los Milenos sculpture by Mathis Lidice and head southward.
Mazaltan
A tourist city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, Mazatlán is located on the Pacific coast. Its 21 km long malecón (boardwalk) is lined with sandy beaches, and big game fishing is well known there. Historic sites from the 19th century can be found in Centro Histórico, or Old Mazatlán, such as the theatre Teatro ngela Peralta and the imposing Immaculate Conception cathedral. Zona Dorada, a contemporary neighbourhood, is well-known for its hotels and nightlife.
The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception
The Mazatlan Cathedral is a Baroque-Revival style Church in the middle of downtown's "Centro" area. Construction started on the church in 1856 but was not completed until 1899. The inside is uniquely ornate with wood, marble, and gold.
