Tue 3 NOV AUCKLAND - ROTORUA (BD)Board your private coach for overland transfer to Rotorua. In the evening, you will be collected from your hotel for your combined Hangi (Dinner) and Concert tour. Welcome to a world of ancient Maori and proud warriors - a world that unfolds with a journey back in time through the Maori village of 'Te Tawa Ngahere Pa'. Wed 4 NOV ROTORUA (BL)Board your private coach and commence your Rotorua Sightseeing Tour. Visit Te Puia - Te Puia is New Zealand’s living Maori cultural centre, situated in the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley. Te Puia’s 60-hectare site is home to the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, a live kiwi enclosure, the world-famous Pohutu Geyser, and more than 500 geothermal wonders. With land steeped in ancestral history and a guiding legacy that stretches back to the 1800s, Te Puia offers unique hospitality and rich cultural heritage. Continue to visit The Agrodome - Visit the World Famous Agrodome for an authentic farm experience. The Sheep show will take you through a fascinating insight into the world of New Zealand agriculture. During this multi-award-winning show, you will be entertained and informed as a real kiwi shearer (black singlet and all) presents 19 breeds of champion sheep, shears a sheep using the world record Bowen technique, works noisy Huntaway and silent Strong-Eyed dogs and completes the NZ dog trial. Have the opportunity to milk a cow and feed a lamb. Re-board your private coach and continue to Skyline Gondola Restaurant for lunch. Conveniently located just minutes from Rotorua's City centre, high on the side of Mount Ngongotaha, the Gondola will carry you to 487 metres above sea level to a stunning environment providing panoramic views of Rotorua City, Lake Rotorua and the surrounding area. Undulating green fields, tumbling waterfalls, spectacular rural vistas and, of course, its world-renowned limestone formations and cave system make Waitomo a destination like no other. 30 million years ago the entire Waitomo region lay far beneath the sea. Today, both above and below ground, it stands as a revealing testament to a landmark period in New Zealand's and the world's natural history. Sat 21 NOV ARRIVE SYDNEYUpon your arrival, you will be met by your local guide who will assist you with a private coach transfer to your hotel to store your luggage until the rooms become available. The tour guide will escort you to walk to Clocktower Square, Corner Harrington and Argyle Street to commence your Rocks Walking private tour. The Rocks Walking Tour brings alive the story of the early convict settlement while entertaining you with stories of rascals, rats and restoration. See some of Sydney's earliest buildings, shops old and new, homes of the 'well-to-do' and the quaint cottages of the working class. Still to be seen today are the pubs and hotels, once frequented by the locals and sailors alike and the haunts of larrikins and rogues. The many historic streets, narrow alleyways, cobbled lanes, sandstone steps and beautiful churches combine to weave a rich tapestry of life in the past and present times. Explore the past while enjoying the present ambience of early Sydney. This is a relaxed and leisurely way to see one of Sydney's most picturesque precincts. After the Rocks walking tour, your tour guide will assist you to meet your private coach and taken on a Half Day City Sights Tour. Drive under the famous 'coat hanger', the Sydney Harbour Bridge and view Sydney's famous architectural masterpiece, the Sydney Opera House. Continue through the commercial area of the city passing the historical buildings of Macquarie Street - Parliament House, The Mint and Hyde Park Barracks. Alight at Mrs. Macquarie's Chair for breath-taking views of the city and harbour. Proceed through cosmopolitan King's Cross and exclusive garden suburbs to the Gap on the ocean headland at Watsons Bay. Tue 24 NOV SYDNEY – AYERS ROCK (BD)You will be collected from your hotel for private coach transfer to the airport. Fly Sydney to Ayers Rock. Ayers Rock – Upon your arrival, board your private coach for your transfer to your hotel. This afternoon we travel to the Olgas also known in the Aboriginal language as “Kata Tjuta” translated as “many heads”. The Olgas is a collection of smaller more rounded rocks, located 32km to the west of Ayers Rock. Each of the 36 domes has a story in mythology and are of significance to the Aboriginal Dreamtime legends. Enjoy a walk to Olga Gorge and explore the unusually shaped formations. The tour concludes at your hotel. Enjoy your Uluru dining experience this evening. Inclusions: Canapés, Beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks, Buffet BBQ (vegetarian options available with prior notice), Scrumptious desserts, Tea, coffee and port. Wed 25 NOV AYERS ROCK - CAIRNS (B)For the early risers, depart from your hotel 75 minutes prior to sunrise and travel to the sunrise viewing area of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and watch the first sunlight of the day creep across the desert plains. Re-join your coach for your Base Tour of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Begin with a drive around the base of Uluru. Your driver will point out a number of interesting features of the monolith, then take you on a walking tour of Mutitjulu Waterhole where you can view Aboriginal rock art. If time permits, you may visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The tour concludes at your hotel. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will be collected by private coach for transfer from your hotel to the airport. Cairns – Upon your arrival, you will be met by your local guide who will assist you with a private coach transfer to your hotel. Thur 26 NOV CAIRNS (BL)Full-Day Outer Barrier Reef Cruise. You will be collected from your hotel this morning by a Quicksilver Connections coach and taken on a scenic drive to Port Douglas. Quicksilver's friendly crew will take you to Agincourt Reef at the very edge of Australia's Continental Shelf, to an underwater world that is a dazzling kaleidoscope of colour and brilliance. Here you can experience first-hand the magic that is the Great Barrier Reef. You can choose to dive, snorkel, or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-sub, just one metre underwater (please note diving is an extra cost). Watch the fish feeding from the unique underwater viewing platform and underwater observatory. Complimentary morning and afternoon tea and a delicious lunch are included. Other refreshments are available at an additional cost. There will be a Marine Biologist presentation shown on the vessel televisions as well as a snorkelling demonstration. Arrive back at Marina Mirage at approximately 4.30pm and join your coach for the transfer back to your hotel. Note: It is highly recommended that you wear one of the lightweight lycra suits provided, before entering the water. There is a $5-$10 rental for the suit. Fri 27 NOV CAIRNS (BLD)Full-Day Kuranda Tour. Meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby who will accompany you on your full-day Kuranda tour. Board your private coach and transfer you to Skyrail terminal in Smithfield. Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for an amazing experience over Australia’s World Heritage-listed Tropical Rainforest canopy and deep into the forest. Your Skyrail experience should take approximately 1 ½ hours and includes spending time at the two rainforest mid-stations. Allow 20 minutes for each station, to enjoy Ranger guided boardwalk tours and visit the Rainforest Interpretation Centre, lookouts and historical displays. Kuranda is aboriginal for 'village in the rainforest', and over the years Kuranda has taken on a distinctive character as a popular visitor destination in its own right. Kuranda is famous for having the biggest and most frequent art and craft markets in Tropical North Queensland. Indigenous culture, legends and lifestyle give the village an ancient feel. Take a stroll in the World Heritage Rainforest around the village, visit the world-famous Kuranda Markets and enjoy amazing “street art” around every corner. Meet with the coach again for the short transfer to Rainforestation Nature Park, boasting 40 hectares of gardens and rainforest set amidst World Heritage areas. The Dreamtime Walk provides a comprehensive introduction to Aboriginal and Islander culture and history with practical experiences including boomerang lessons on spear throwing. Witness the dynamic performance of the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers in the natural Amphitheatre where the rainforest serves as the theatre walls and the sounds of the forest and the didgeridoo create the backing music. Barbecue lunch will be served during the day (Beverages not included and at guests own expense). Depart Rainforestation to Kuranda Rail Station. The train departs Kuranda at 3.30pm. Please check-in at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Climbing more than 300 meters through dense, tropical rainforest, the Kuranda Scenic Railway is a 90-minute journey encompassing deep river gorges, rugged mountain ranges and spectacular waterfalls. Travelling slowly, it finds its way up the epic pioneer track with every turn revealing a new panorama - sugar plantations, a cool, tropical environment of native shrubs, ferns and flowers, Barron Falls, Stoney Creek Falls - until it reaches Freshwater Station. At Freshwater Station, re-board your private coach and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure. A farewell dinner is included this evening at Dundee’s Waterfront Restaurant.
