Kamloops
The confluence of the North and South Thompson rivers is in the Canadian city of Kamloops in British Columbia. To the northeast are the ski runs, biking park, and hiking trails of Sun Peaks Resort. The British Columbia Wildlife Park, located east of town, is home to bears and cougars. Ahead of Kamloops Lake in the west are clay hoodoos (or spires). The remains of a 2,000-year-old hamlet can be found in the riverbank Secwepemc Museum & Heritage Park.

Banff
In the Canadian province of Alberta, the resort community of Banff is situated inside Banff National Park. Its skyline is dominated by the Rocky Mountain peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade. Boutiques and restaurants coexist with château-style hotels and gift shops on Banff Avenue, the major avenue. Elk and grizzly bears live in the 6,500 square kilometre parks surrounding the area.

Jasper
The business hub of Jasper National Park is the alpine town of Jasper in the Canadian province of Alberta. The park contains glacier-fed lakes, woods, and rivers nestled within the Canadian Rockies' snow-capped peaks. Whistlers Mountain's summit is reached by the Jasper SkyTram, offering views of the city. The Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives has displays about the park's early discovery, the railroad, and the fur trade.

Day 1 Calgary
Arrive in Calgary and spend time exploring this cosmopolitan city on your own. That could be going to the top of the Calgary Tower, exploring Prince's Island Park or much more. Overnight in Calgary.
Day 2 Calgary to Banff
Depart Calgary this morning for a full-day tour concluding in Banff. Journey to Banff where you will enjoy a spectacular boat cruise on Lake Minnewanka. Continue on to a sightseeing tour including Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Banff Gondola included. Your tour ends on arrival in Banff late this afternoon. Overnight in Banff.
Day 3 Banff
Enjoy the day with free time to relax or book your own activities at your leisure. Banff has activities for all, from taking the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, relaxing in the Banff hot springs, exploring the bustling town, to outdoor wildlife adventures. Overnight in Banff.
Day 4 Banff to Jasper
Continue your journey from Banff to Jasper on a sightseeing tour of Banff and Jasper National Parks via the Icefields Parkway. Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefield, Glacier Skywalk, and Athabasca Falls are among some of the day's highlights. The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn about its geological features. Lunch is provided at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre. You will arrive in Jasper late afternoon. Overnight in Jasper. L.
Day 5 Jasper
Enjoy the day with free time to relax or book your own activities at your leisure. The resort town of Jasper and the surrounding national park offer various activities from relaxation to adventure. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 6 Jasper to Kamloops
Travel onboard Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. As you journey west and south, you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Today's highlights include the climb over the Yellowhead Pass, Pyramid Falls, Mount Robson, at 3,954 meters (12,972 feet), the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops. B, L.
Day 7 Kamloops to Vancouver
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today's journey, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the B.C. Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Cascade and Coast Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening. Day 8 Vancouver
