Rainforest Sanctuary
Explore this stunning 40-acre rainforest reserve located 8 miles from Ketchikan near the picturesque Herring Cove. Take a guided nature walk for a chance to see bald eagles, black bears and a variety of wildlife. Visit a historic sawmill and checkout the Raptor Chenter Ketchikan exhibit.
Mendenhall Glacier
This amazing glacier is 13 miles long, a half-mile wide and from 300 to 1,800 feet deep. Stretching from the Juneau Icefield to Mendenhall Lake, it has been slowly retreating since the mid 1700s.
White Pass Scenic Railway
The "Scenic Railway of the World" links Skagway with Yukon, Canada. A 41-mile roundtrip offers an unforgettable journey to the summit of the White Pass at nearly 3,000 feet in elevation.
Wrangell
Wrangell, one of the oldest communities in Alaska, is strategically located nearby to the mouth of the Stikine River. The only town in Alaska to have existed under three flags and been governed by four countries—the Tlingit, Russia, England, and the United States—Wrangell is now home to around 2,500 people.
