June 16th, 2020 Travel Update

A few thoughts from Dave at CruisePlus We started in the travel business in a very different world, back in 1991 when we began by chartering ships. Over the beginning years, we chartered 13 full ships, booking approx. 15,000 passengers on mainly Pacific Northwest sailings. This was a risky business, as we had to fill every bed on the ship on our own – but we managed to make it work every time.  Sometimes it was a squeaker!  We thought that our formula in the industry was our only path until one day...

CruisePlus Update (June 4, 2020)

Hello, everyone!  We hope this finds you well. CruisePlus Update (May 27)

Another week goes by with a bit more optimism in our world of travel.  Most cruise lines and land operators believe we will see some departures in late 2020, but most feel like 2021, 2nd quarter and on is where we will see more normalcy. Destinations opening up very soon include Greece and Italy, amongst quite a number.  All destinations and accommodations, as well as air lines are busy formulating and formalizing safety plans if they have not already...

We hope you are happy and safely tucked in at home whenever possible. So here we all are, many weeks later and if you are like our team, it’s starting to feel like a movie we wish was over. But there is also so much to appreciate, and we are trying to focus on the positives. In many instances, that includes being able to have conversations with our lovely clients. Many of you are choosing this time to be extra kind, and we truly appreciate you!  We hope that you are also...

Covid-19 Travel Update

We are all in this together! (and we are here for you) What we know now: All cruise lines have suspended operations in US ports as of March 14th and Canada is preparing to shut ports for an extended period of time, currently for ships of more than 500 passengers. Additionally there are advisories against international travel. Cruise bookings that fall during this suspension will be cancelled automatically, and each cruise line will publish their policy regarding refunds and or credits. You may have already received notification of this. Additionally, many of the...
